Privacy Policy

Effective: February 18, 2026

TL;DR — SoniFlac does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your music stays on your device.

What Data We Collect

None. SoniFlac does not collect any personal information, usage analytics, crash reports, device identifiers, or telemetry of any kind. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no tracking.

Local Music Library

SoniFlac accesses audio files stored on your device solely for the purpose of playback. File metadata (title, artist, album, cover art) is read locally and never transmitted off your device.

Internet Radio

When you search for or play internet radio stations, SoniFlac queries the radio-browser.info public API. These requests contain your search terms and your device's IP address (as with any internet request). SoniFlac does not add any tracking parameters. Please refer to radio-browser.info's own privacy practices for how they handle API requests.

When you play a radio stream, your device connects directly to the station's streaming server. SoniFlac does not proxy, log, or monitor these connections.

Self-Hosted Servers (Jellyfin / Subsonic)

If you connect SoniFlac to a self-hosted music server, your server credentials are stored locally on your device. They are never transmitted to SoniFlac, ParticleSector, or any third party. Connections go directly from your device to your server.

In-App Purchases

Premium unlock purchases are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. SoniFlac does not process, store, or have access to any payment information. Google's privacy policy governs this transaction.

Third-Party Services

SoniFlac does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs. The only external services the app communicates with are radio-browser.info (for station search) and any self-hosted music server you explicitly configure.

Children's Privacy

SoniFlac does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Because SoniFlac is open source, all changes are also visible in the project's GitHub repository.
